TUNE IN TO OUT OF TUNE
Now there's a tongue-twister if ever I wrote one!
What a great start to the new year. I've just received news that my debut short film 'Out of Tune' has been chosen by Underground Cinema to feature in the official launch of Underground TV on Thursday 4th February, broadcasting Live at 8pm.
Over the coming months Underground TV will be broadcasting a series of programmes, dedicated to the promotion of short Irish films.
UCTV will be broadcasting interviews with film makers on how their films were made. Meet the cast and crew behind each film and get a chance to watch some of the shorts online that Underground Cinema have screened over the last couple of months. You'll even get a chance to chat with some of the directors online and ask any questions you want while their films are being broadcasted.
Now people from all over the world can get a chance to view our films in the comfort of their own homes.
As stated on their website;
"Underground TV will officially launch at 8pm on Thursday February 4th with Paddy Slatterys short Irish film, 'Out of Tune'.

Shot on location in Offaly and Mullingar, Out of Tune is a 25 minute short film set in a restless suburban town. The Film tells the story of a young struggling musician named Steve (Offaly native Damian Farrell), who is down on his luck after being rejected by judges on the Irish version of the X-Factor.
He decides to quit chasing his dreams, but finds it's not that simple to just walk away from music, which is his life.
Out of Tune Stars: Damian Farrell. Una Kirwan, Wayne Brennan, Damien Mitchell, Terry Fahy, Olga Aughey, Martina Bracken, PJ Deering, John Slattery, Darren Cahill and a special guest appearance by 'The Aftermath'

It's a great honour to have our film chosen by Underground Cinema to represent a fresh new initiative being established, for an audience who would otherwise never get to see our work and for the aspiring Independent Film makers in Ireland who may otherwise never have their work seen. UCTV is yet another example of how much potential can be harvested and will further motivate film makers to participate and even compete with their peers. This of course makes for a more productive and creative generation of Irish film makers for the future.
So, be sure to tune in at 8pm on Thursday the 4th of February for the official launch of Underground TV, where you can watch our film 'Out of Tune' and perhaps even chat with us Live during the broadcast if you've any comments or questions.
Now that should be fun!
Best regards,
Paddy
